From Markt, Breite Straße, now a busy shopping street, leads eastwards. At No 4 is the 1583 building housing Café Wien since 1897. It is not only a pleasant place for coffee and cake but also the oldest building in the vicinity, as a major town fire in 1848 stopped here. Much farther down the street, at No 72, is the Krummelsches Haus, erected in 1674, with a richly carved façade. The Krellsche Schmiede (1678) is a former blacksmith workshop decorated with a horsehead and shoe.
